Indications

AMA, M2 or M2EBPO are strongly associated with Primary Biliary Cirrhosis (95%). They are also seen in a small number of patients with AIH, RA, and SLE.

Comments/Precautions

AMA patterns seen on the Autoantibody screen are initially confirmed with the Liver Blot.
