Indications
This test is used to measure the body's ability to produce cortisol and/or growth hormone when it is under stress
Comments/Precautions
Please refer to local trust guidelines for DFT protocols. Please ensure all timings are clearly labelled on every sample.
Sample type
Adults: Fluoride oxalate (grey top) for glucose and Serum (yellow top) for GH/Cortisol Paeds: Fluoride oxalate (grey top) for glucose and lithium heparin (green top) for GH/Cortisol. Refer to local DFT protocol for timings
