Indications

Immunoglobulin levels are measured in the investigation of lymphoproliferative disorders and primary immunodeficiency. Poly clonal IgG is common in Chronic infection (HIV) liver disease and systemic autoimmune disease. Levels can be low where there is protein loss (gut/renal) or impaired production (myeloma/PID)
