Indications

Immunofluorescence test identifying patterns associated with pernicious anaemia, primary biliary cirrhosis, and autoimmune hepatitis. Positive results will result in reflex line blot test to confirm the autoantibody.

Comments/Precautions

ANA may also be seen on this test but this is not the optimal way to identify/characterise these antibodies. If ANA is relevant to your diagnosis request these as a separate test. Referred outside of EPA.
