Indications

Anti phospholipid syndrome (APS) presents with thrombosis (arterial and venous) and recurrent miscarriage. It is more common in the context of other CTD such as SLE and antibody levels do not correlate with extent or severity of thrombosis. Antibodies may occur transiently following infection. To confirm the diagnosis antibodies must be identified on 2 occasions >12 weeks apart.
