Comments/Precautions

Our first line ANA test is against a pool of antigens commonly associated with connective tissue disease (dsDNA, Ro, La, RNP, Scl-70, Centromere, Sm, Jo-1, Fibrillarin, RNA Pol III, Ribosomal P, Pm-Scl, PCNA, Mi-2) if this is positive we will go on to identify the individual antibody. Hep2 tests gives immunofluorescent patterns which may be used to guide further testing, HEp2 tests can be requested individually by contacting the lab directly.
