Fluid pH: A PCIO heparinised syringe is the preferred sample and must be analysed within 1 hour of collection. Fluid glucose: preferred sample type is fluoride, unpreserved samples must be analysed within 2 hours of collection. Unpreserved fluid samples: other than glucose and pH must be analysed within 6 hours of collection.

Sample type

Plain universal. For Fluid PH a PCIO heparinised syringe is the preferred sample type. For Glucose the preferred sample type is fluoride.
